Eight Courts for Rockledge High School

Legacy Sports Construction 1 min read

Rockledge High School's court complex is what a school build looks like when it goes right: eight courts, one summer window, and a surface engineered for decades of Brevard County sun.

The assignment

School courts take a beating — PE classes all day, team practice after, community play on weekends. Rockledge needed a full complex that could absorb that load, delivered inside the only calendar a school has: the summer break.

What we built

Eight courts built as one system: prepared and compacted base, surfacing specified for Florida UV, and precision striping. Building the bank of courts as a single project meant one mobilization, consistent quality across every court, and a per-court cost no piecemeal approach could touch.

The detail that matters

Courts fail from the ground up, so the money went underground first — base preparation and drainage before a drop of color. It's the same rule we apply from backyard pickleball to university tennis: the surface is only as good as what carries it.

Planning courts for your school? Start at sports courts — and ask us what an eight-court bank costs versus building two at a time.
