Chain O' Lakes Park: a $3.5M Complex for Winter Haven
Chain O' Lakes Park is the largest single build in our company's history — a $3.5M athletic complex conversion for the City of Winter Haven, delivered under one licensed contract covering engineering, drainage, synthetic turf and warranty.
The assignment
Municipal projects carry two clocks: a public budget and a public calendar. Winter Haven needed a tired recreational site turned into a modern multi-field complex that could serve league play, tournaments and community use — without the project dragging across seasons.
What we built
Full site conversion: earthwork and laser-graded base construction, an engineered drainage system sized for Central Florida storm intensity, and synthetic turf fields lined for multi-sport use. The under-surface work — the part no ribbon cutting ever photographs — is why the complex plays through summer rain.
Why it matters if you're a city
Chain O' Lakes is our proof case for the municipal formula: one contractor accountable for design through warranty, itemized costs a council can defend in public, and a schedule built around real weather instead of hope. It's the project we point to when a parks director asks, "Have you done this at our scale?"
