OUR SERVICES

FULL-SERVICE TRACK CONSTRUCTION

Everything required to take a running track from bare ground to championship-ready — engineered, permitted, built, and warrantied by a single Florida-licensed contractor.

01

SITE ENGINEERING

Grade analysis, drainage design, and base engineering stamped by our licensed PE. Florida's soil and rainfall require getting this right before a single truck rolls in.

02

BASE CONSTRUCTION

Proper sub-base prep, asphalt binder, and compaction to spec. The base determines how long your surface lasts — we don’t cut corners on what nobody sees.

03

POLYURETHANE SURFACING

Full-pour or sandwich system polyurethane. UV-stable, spike-resistant, and spec’d for Florida’s heat. USATF-compliant thickness and hardness out of the box.

04

LANE STRIPING & MARKINGS

USATF-spec lane markings, hurdle marks, relay exchange zones, and event-specific graphics — painted or inlaid to FHSAA and NCAA standards.

05

INFIELD TURF SYSTEMS

Synthetic turf infield to complement your track — soccer, football, or multipurpose. Installed as one integrated project so drainage and grade work together.

06

RESURFACING & REPAIR

Existing track showing delamination, cracking, or failed drainage? We assess, repair the base, and resurface to bring it back to competition standard.

SURFACE QUALITY

POLYURETHANE BUILT FOR FLORIDA HEAT

Florida's UV index and year-round heat destroy cut-rate track surfaces within 5 years. We specify full-pour polyurethane systems with UV-stable topcoats rated for subtropical climates — the same spec used at Florida Tech, Embry-Riddle, and Chain O’ Lakes Park.

HOW IT WORKS

FROM SITE SURVEY TO RACE DAY

01

01

SITE SURVEY & ENGINEERING

Stephen Gacioch, P.E. visits your site, analyzes grade and drainage, and produces stamped engineering drawings. Every project starts with facts, not guesses.

02

02

PERMITTING & COORDINATION

We pull every county and state permit, coordinate utility locates, and handle all school board or municipal approvals. You don’t deal with bureaucracy — we do.

03

03

BASE & SURFACE INSTALLATION

Our crew handles grading, sub-base, asphalt binder, and polyurethane surfacing in sequence. Ron Falzini’s team has done this at Florida Tech, Embry-Riddle, and Chain O’ Lakes — the same precision on every job.

04

04

INSPECTION & CERTIFICATION

Final USATF measurement verification, lane marking inspection, and project closeout. Your 5-year workmanship warranty and manufacturer surface warranty activate on completion.

COMMON QUESTIONS

RUNNING TRACK FAQ

How much does a new running track cost in Florida?

+

A standard 400m 8-lane polyurethane track typically ranges from $800,000–1.5M depending on base conditions, drainage requirements, and infield scope. Resurfacing existing tracks runs $200,000–500,000. We provide itemized estimates after a free site assessment — call 321-307-0906.

Does our school qualify for FRDAP or other grant funding for a new track?

+

Many Florida school districts and municipalities qualify for FRDAP (Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program) grants — we’ve helped secure $450K+ for clients. Public schools and city parks are strong candidates. See our Grant Funding page or call to discuss your eligibility before the next application cycle.

How long does a polyurethane running track last in Florida's climate?

+

A properly installed polyurethane track with UV-stable topcoat lasts 15–25 years in Florida conditions before full resurfacing is needed. Annual inspection and minor maintenance (sealing, line touch-up) extend that lifespan significantly. Florida’s heat accelerates aging on poorly specified systems — which is why we specify materials rated for subtropical use, not generic national-grade products.

What’s the difference between a full-pour and sandwich system track?

+

A full-pour (homogeneous) system uses a single continuous layer of polyurethane poured directly onto the asphalt base — more durable, USATF competition-grade, and Florida’s standard for high-use facilities. A sandwich system uses a prefabricated rubber layer bonded with polyurethane — lower cost, suitable for practice facilities and middle schools. We recommend the right spec for your budget and use level.

Do you handle permitting for school and municipal track projects?

+

Yes — completely. As a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC1268683), we pull all permits, manage county and state inspections, and handle school board or city council coordination on your behalf. Public facility projects have specific approval requirements — we’ve navigated them for institutions including Florida Tech, Embry-Riddle, and multiple Brevard County schools.
